I have a couple people that have been a major influence in my life and have contributed to my becoming a REALTOR®. A lifelong friend mentioned to me years ago when I was looking for a job, that maybe real estate might be a good fit for me and that stuck with me for years. I have always enjoyed looking at, reading and talking about real estate ever since I bought my first house to live in. One day I was entertaining the idea of changing careers and seen a posting for a Realtor® or people who were interesting in becoming a Realtor®. I contacted an old work friend from my past who is a Realtor®, and asked her how I would go about becoming one. She directed me toward her managing broker. He invited me to join and sit in on a sales meeting and we had a nice conversation afterward where he explained the details of becoming licensed, training, and working as a Realtor®, and I made the choice to take a chance as they seemed very committed and focused on growing and supporting their new Realtors®.
